The Power Of Love
It's snowing in slow-motion in Val d' Isere. The cinematic windows of my hotel frame a scene from some modern fairy tale- tiny black figures are stumbling awkwardly through white powder like drunk penguins. The skeletons of trees sway in the storm in perfect synchronicity. Ski lifts are drifting up the French Alps and disappearing into the cold milky sky. Beautiful little children with roses in their cheeks are laughing with delight. Inside my room, warmed by bear skin rugs and French hospitality, I am still grieving. But the support and compassion of strangers and new friends made here, so far away from home, is healing me and I must rise and prepare to deliver my talk. I am closing the VAL17 Les Napoleans conference tonight with The Power Of Love- my thoughts on how we can empower ourselves with love to reverse the tide of hatred that is tearing up our world.
Wish you were here.
