Today Martin Kvernbekk Sajee Sivam and I figured out where to buy basic food items in wholesale and therefore much cheaper than from the World Food Program approved supermarkets that charge a premium. We are going to package it ourselves at the #SALAMLADC Volunteer House and distribute it to settlements, cutting out the middlemen and helping more refugee families. I funded a small bulk purchase of rice, pasta, foul, sugar, tea and salt that will be packaged and taken by volunteers to 40- 50 families. This gave me more satisfaction than a lot of much "bigger" things I've done in the recent past. Here we are with part of our loot.. Grassroots deal making 😆
